In Northwestern Florida, with a fabulous location between Milton and Pensacola, you will find the lovely little community of Pace. Pace is an unincorporated area that serves as home to roughly fifty-three thousand people. It is the western gateway to Santa Rosa County and has experienced steady growth in the economy and population. In fact, between 2000 and 2010 the community grew in population by more than 171 percent. Home to the Pace Patriots, this little census-designated place is part of the Pensacola Metro Area and has grown from a small, rural community into a vibrant suburb of Pensacola.
Pace is just north of Escambia Bay, northeast of Pensacola, only fifteen miles from downtown Pensacola, and in the 32571 zip code. It is a family-friendly place with high-performing schools and a number of other extraordinary features that contribute to its growing popularity. Comprised of more than nine square miles, Pace offers a wide variety of family recreation opportunities with multiple public parks, and it affords quick and convenient access to major shopping destinations, including Pensacola’s Cordova Mall which is only twenty minutes away. Providing a warm small-town feeling and the benefits of city living, Pace also encompasses several locally owned businesses that contribute to the convenience of the city.
The city has a rich history and was founded in 1821 as Florida Town, but was renamed in 1907. Between 1970 and 2011 the city experienced a tremendous surge in population when the number of residents grew from five thousand to fifty-three thousand. This influx of new residents has resulted in many new homes in Pace. Pace real estate is primarily single-family homes of varying ages, sizes, and architectural styles. There are several neighborhoods and subdivisions in Pace, including Copperfield, Cross Roads, Tiburon West, Oak Leigh Place, Covington Wood, North Harbor, Brentwood, Woodbine Farms, Twelve Oaks Place, Woodbine Springs, Stonebrook Village, Hammersmith and Tamrell Forest. There are also vacant lots and waterfront homes in Pace, and these kinds of Pace properties are generally more affordable than in some of the neighboring communities.
